In a lot of our blog posts we have talked about our apartments and what makes them so great, but did you know that we also have two townhome floor plans? At The Lakes At West Chester Village, we offer two distinctly unique floor plans that range between 1,200 and 1,500 square feet — meaning that our townhomes in West Chester are rather spacious. But what else makes our West Chester townhomes so desirable?

1. It Is Less Work

Townhomes rival single-family homes in square footage, meaning the interior space is pretty comparable with most homes in the West Chester area. But it is not the similarities with a single family home that make townhome life so special — it is the things that are different.

When you live in a townhome you have less maintenance to worry about than if you lived in a detached home. Primarily speaking, it is the outdoor maintenance (or lack thereof) where you will see the largest benefit. When you live in a townhome, you might have a smaller yard than if you were to live in a single family home, but as a result of that, you never have to do yard work!

As far as the inside of your townhome goes, you will still have to clean it yourself, but you will not have to worry about maintenance if something breaks. Sounds pretty nice, huh?

One of the most underrated aspects of townhome life is that you can have a garage. At our townhomes in West Chester, we have two townhome floor plans — one with a single-car garage and another with a two-car garage. But why is a garage such a large benefit?

When you have a garage attached to your West Chester townhome the benefits are endless. Whether you use it to keep your vehicle out of the weather or as storage, a garage is a valuable space that you might not otherwise have if you were to live in an apartment.
